It wasn't intended to be part of the March Challenge... Dream... but when I looked at what I wrote in the middle of the bowl I realized the challenge was on my mind. I was looking for color, I wanted a colorful bowl to put on my office coffee table and I didn't want to buy one so I made this one out of paper. In the process I got rid of some old magazines to bootI have not idea why the previous text is underlined; it wasn't intended and since I don't know how it got that way, I don't know how to make it go away.
I've accepted a creativity challenge... every day creative. I'll be posting entries to that challenge here.

I started with the words from the creativity challenge blog, added the mail boxes because they reminded me of letters and the row of mailboxes at the end of our street. Next I did some glazing to get some value changes and then did a transfer of an old envelope. I think it's done but have to put it aside for awhile before I know for sure.

The Word Challenge so far
I've taken the challenge... WORDS... I love them but don't use them in my work often. This month I've done a few things with words... some finished.... some works in process. I've lumped them all together in a collage rather than posting each individually. The circular piece is a mandela... that's sort of cheating because I did the mandela awhile back but have matted it for framing this week. The "creativity takes courage" is something I've painted above one of the doors in my studio... more of those are in the works. "Love" is made from a piece of copper wire. I'll be working with copper wire for a Lenten project at church and this was my first try at it. The last piece in the collage is a start... don't have any idea where it's going to take me but... I layed a layer of acrylic on a piece of canvas, printed all of the words from the challenge on a piece of tissue paper, tore them into groups and put them down on the canvas and then I layed some glaze over that. Maybe by next week I'll have more done on it.
